There are two transfer windows in a season regulated by FIFA, a longer transfer window which is twelve weeks during break season (For the English Premier League 14 June – 1 September) and a shorter one (maximum four weeks) (For English Premier League 1–31 January) in the middle of the season.
Let’s take a look at the big 15 big names who have found a new club this season:
- Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid- Mbappe left PSG at a fee worth €15 million a year and received €85 million as a signing bonus. The 25-year-old player has already won a cup (Super Cup) on his debut with Real Madrid at the beginning of the season.
- Pedro Neto to Chelsea- Neto has signed a seven-year deal with the club. A reported fee of £54 million was paid to the rival premier league Wolves.
- Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid- Argentina’s World Cup winner signed a six-year contract from ManCity for £81.5m fee.
- Leny Yoro to Manchester United- Yoro joined Man. United from Lille for a fee of €62 million.
- Dani Olmo to Barcelona- the Euro 2024 winner joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in a reported deal worth €60m.
- Michael Olise to Bayern Munich- Olise joined Bayern for €60m despite clubs like Chelsea, Man City and Man United being heavily linked with the superstar attacking midfielder.
- Dougal Luiz to Juventus- the Brazilian midfielder moved from Aston Villa for a fee of €50m.
- Dominic Solanke to Tottenham- Solanke moved from Bournemouth at a fee of £55m.
- Amadou Onana to Aston Villa- ahead of their UEFA Champions League return, Villa signed Onana for £50m from Everton. They are the biggest spenders of the 2024 summer transfer window.
- Desire Doue to PSG- the 19-year-old winger moved from Rennes for a fee of £42.5m.
- Joao Felix to Chelsea- Felix is permanently back to the Bridge at a reported fee of £41.9m from Atletico Madrid.
- Matthijs de Ligt to Manchester United- De Ligt joined Mazraoui in Man.u from Bayern Munich at a fee of £38.4m
- Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United- Zirkzee was paid £36.5 from Bologna to join the Reds (Man. u)
- Fabio Carvalho to Brentford- the Portuguese winger moved from Liverpool to Brentford in a deal worth £27.5m including add-ons.
- Alvaro Morata to Ac Milan- Morata has signed a four-year deal with Milan from Atletico Madrid.
