Despite the high earnings a football player receives weekly, monthly or annually allowing them to have nearly everything they want from cars, houses or even decorating their bodies the way they want with tattoos. Some players opt to get tattoos while others opt out maybe due to religious beliefs, personal choices or even health reasons therefore revealing that not every player is exactly the same. Several famous football players decided to opt out of getting ink in their bodies and we have mentioned seven famous footballers below.
- MOHAMED SALAH
Being one of the highest-paid players in the English Premier League, the Egyptian forward decided not to have tattoos due to his faith, Mo Salah is a Muslim and they are forbidden to have ink on their bodies by the religion.
- CRISTIANO RONALDO
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner and the best attacker of all time does not have a single tattoo on his body because Ronaldo regularly donates blood. The Al-Nassr and Portugal forward started donating blood in 2011 when his fellow teammate Carlos Martins’ son was sick and needed blood and bone marrow.

The Manchester United centre-back has no ink in his body and he is considered the most humble player on the pitch, he has rarely been involved in any controversial matters during his football career.
- RODRI
The Spaniard and Manchester City midfielder is always humble and goes under the radar, he is also considered the favourites in winning the 2024 Ballon d’Or. Despite having a good earning we have not seen him buying fanciest items including having tattoos.
- KYLIAN MBAPPE
The French man joined his boyhood club Real Madrid in the 2024 summer transfer and by the age of 25 years, he had achieved more in his career and was recognized as the youngest greatness player of all time. Mbappe faith in Christianity decided to refuse to get any tattoos.
- ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI
Lewandowski was a superstar in Bayern Munich and won nearly everything with the club before making a move to Barcelona. The 35-year-old Polish forward is so humbled and a team player who helps his team as described by his former manager Xavi. He does not have a tattoo on his body.
- ACHRAF HAKIMI
Lastly, we have the best right-backs in the world who play for PSG and Morocco in Africa, Hakimi is a Muslim therefore tattoos are forbidden and considered as a sin by their religion.
