Most clubs get money from ticket sales or from selling the club’s merchandise like jerseys, it is somehow impossible to get the exact number of fans that support or cheer a particular team around the world but through things like social media followers, stadium capacities and the purchase of jerseys helps to estimate the total number of fans of a particular club. The Spanish giants are the most widely supported club in the world. Real Madrid has a total of 363.27 million followers on social media. The club was established in 1902 and has set several world records, like winning the UEFA Champions League 13 times. Its fan base extends beyond social media, with a global following estimated at over half a billion fans.
- BARCELONA
It is estimated that Barcelona has a total of 350 million global supporters and a total of 318.8 million social media followers making them the second best supported club by fans.
